How does it happen?
After a thorough examination using advanced radiographic studies, our technicians immediately begin preparing the "new teeth" while the doctors prepare the patient by removing old teeth and cleansing the mouth of any periodontal disease or other infected tissues. Then implants are placed to support immediate teeth. Patients leave in a matter of hours with solid, stable, and cosmetically pleasing teeth. The teeth that can support a single tooth to a complete arch.
Does it hurt?
Dental implants and the creation of a prosthetic smile can be accomplished with minimal or no discomfort using local anesthesia; however, for patients who suffer from apprehension or anxiety, our board certified anesthesiologists provide gentle assistance, allowing our patients to wake up with a beautiful new smile or we can use oral sedation, a simple tablet to relax you.
As with all extensive dental treatment, some patients will experience tenderness in the mouth, mild swelling or the appearance of slight facial bruising for several days following the procedure. The use of ice packs and normal dosages of standard pain medication generally allows patients to be quite comfortable through this brief healing period.
Am I a candidate?
Teeth In A Day most dramatically benefits patients whose teeth are loose and unsightly, but because of fear have neglected dental treatment. These patients enjoy the removal of decay and bacteria from their mouths as well as the joy of new self-esteem, a natural result of an attractive smile.
Other candidates include patients who have struggled with wearing dentures, patients who have suffered bone loss through periodontal disease, those with congenitally missing teeth who desire a complete dentition or patients who have lost teeth in a traumatic accident.
With only a few exceptions, most patients seeking Teeth In A Day can be accommodated with Dr. DiGiallorenzo. Whether replacing a single missing tooth or a complete arch, our professional team takes pride in providing all patients with healthy, vibrant, gratifying smiles.
